Sweet and Savory Blue Cheese Dip

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 4 ounces Treasure Cave Blue Cheese Wedge, room temperature
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoons butter
  • ⅛ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 slices of cooked bacon, chopped
  • Fresh thyme

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Mix in 1 tablespoon honey, walnuts, bacon and cinnamon.
  3. Cook until honey begins to bubble, stirring occasionally.
  4. Take off heat and pour onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Let cool. While candied walnuts are cooling, add cream cheese and brown sugar to a stand mixer and whip sugar crystals until they disintegrated into the cheese.
  5. Add Treasure Cave blue cheese and heavy cream. Whip until light and fluffy.
  6. Scoop into a bowl and top with remaining honey, candied walnuts and fresh thyme.
  7. Serve with fresh fruit, bread and/or crackers.
