Crumbled Gorgonzola Cheese
Ingredients
- 2 jalapenos
- 1 1/4 cups Treasure Cave® Crumbled Gorgonzola Cheese
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- Salt and pepper
- 4 buns
- 1 cup romaine lettuce, thinly sliced
Directions
- Mince one jalapeno, toss it together with 1 cup of the Treasure Cave® Crumbled Gorgonzola Cheese and set it aside. Slice the remaining jalapeno and set it aside.
- Form the beef into 8 thin patties. Top 4 of the patties with 1 tablespoon of BBQ sauce each. Then, divide the gorgonzola jalapeno mixture evenly among the 4 patties. Cover each with a second patty and press the edges to seal. Season the patties with salt and pepper. Then, oil and prepare the grill for medium direct heat.
- Grill the burgers for 8–10 minutes, until they’re fully cooked, turning once. Toast the buns, cut side down, on the grill for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- To assemble the burgers, place the bun bottoms on a serving plate. Then, top each with 1/4 cup of lettuce and a burger. Drizzle with the remaining BBQ sauce, add the jalapeno slices, sprinkle with the remaining Treasure Cave® Crumbled Gorgonzola Cheese and cover with the top bun.
- Serve warm.
