Crumbled Blue Cheese
Ingredients
3.5 ounces (about 1 cup) Treasure Cave® Gorgonzola Crumbles, divided1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup finely diced shallot
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 cup sour cream
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 cup shredded romaine lettuce
4 slices bacon, sliced thin and cooked crisp
1/3 cup tomatoes
Sliced baguette
Directions
- Remove 1 tablespoon Treasure Cave® Gorgonzola; set aside.
- Heat butter in a medium skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shallot and pour in vinegar and sauté, stirring frequently until shallots are browned and caramelized, 5 to 7 minutes.
- Stir in sour cream and season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
- Spread in a shallow bowl and layer with lettuce, tomatoes and bacon. Add remaining Treasure Cave® Gorgonzola Cheese.
- Serve with toasted sliced baguettes.
