Virginia Country Ham Panini with Gorgonzola Cheese, Bacon and Arugula

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread (suggested: sourdough)
  • 1-2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoons butter
  • 3 slices deli ham
  • 2 pieces of bacon
  • 2 tablespoons Treasure Cave Crumbled Gorgonzola Cheese
  • Handful of arugula
  • Drizzle of olive oil
  • Sprinkle of sea salt

Directions

  1. Cook your bacon however you like. I like baking it on a lined sheet pan in the oven at 400F degrees for about 15-20 minutes until cooked.
  2. Butter the outside of 2 pieces of bread.
  3. Then, on the inside, add mayo to both sides.
  4. Top with ham, bacon, Treasure Cave Crumbled Gorgonzola Cheese, arugula, olive oil, and sea salt.
  5. Heat a skillet to medium heatand add the bread with the buttered sides down to the skillet. Once browned and crunchy, remove slices from skillet and flip one slice on top of the other to assemble sandwich.
  6. Cut & enjoy!
