Crumbled Blue Cheese
Ingredients
- 16 ounces ground pork
- 8 ounces fresh Italian sausage
- 8 slices sourdough bread
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon red curry paste (or more to taste)
- 1/2 cup Treasure Cave® Crumbled Blue Cheese
- 1 cup broccoli slaw, coarsely chopped
Directions
- In a medium bowl, combine the pork and sausage and mix well. Form into 4 patties. With your thumb or the back of a spoon, make a shallow indentation about 1 inch wide in the center of the patties to prevent them from forming a dome as they cook. Oil and prepare the grill for medium direct heat.
- Grill the burgers for 8–10 minutes, until fully cooked, turning once. Then, toast the bread slices, 30 seconds per side.
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise and red curry paste. Mix well and set aside.
- To assemble the burgers, place 4 slices of the grilled bread on a cutting board. Spread each with 1 tablespoon of the red curry mayonnaise. Then, sprinkle each with 1 tablespoon of the Treasure Cave® Crumbled Blue Cheese. Divide the broccoli slaw evenly on each slice. Place the burgers on top and add a dollop of red curry mayonnaise. Sprinkle each with the remaining Treasure Cave® Crumbled Blue Cheese and place the remaining bread atop.
- Serve warm.
